Full virtual environment cabinet
We are currently researching ways to integrate three 3d projectors into a cabinet.Preferably we would use passive 3d. But due to the limited horizontal angle of this system, research is needed for a truly suitable system.
This cabinet would upgrade both the Iocale and the Fibonaccie to full virtual environment simulators.
Especially with the addition of a location sensing device and a wand, or similar device, both the Iocale and Fibonacci would be on a par with virtual environment systems many times their respective price levels.
High performance computing cluster
Also being researched now is the paring of up to 11 mainboards each holding up to 4 processors.This would make a total of up to 44 processors.
Using AMD and ATI parts this would add up to 704 cores and 11 HD 7970's.
The combined computing power would be, in optimal scenario's, 55TerraFLOPS.
Making this installation comparable to cabinets of High Performance Computing Clusters, such as those of Cray. The problems associated with the supply of power and efficient distribution of workloads, as well as those of latency must be researched further. However solutions to these power and distribution issues should be solvable by the use of among others infiniband.
